Limited Warranty

What is covered

American Windows & Doors, Inc. warrants that windows and doors purchased from, and installed by American Windows & Doors, Inc. will be free from defects resulting from improper installation for a period of TEN YEARS from the original date of purchase. American Windows & Doors, Inc. also warrants any accidental glass breakage for a period of FIVE YEARS from the original date of purchase, except as limited in this document.

Who is covered

This warranty is limited to the legal owner of the property as identified below. The warranty may be transferable to a new owner, with prior authorization from American Windows & Doors, Inc., and as long as the transfer is made within 1 year of original purchase date.

How long

This warranty will terminate at the end of ten years, or when ownership is transferred (except as stated above).

Limitations

American Windows & Doors, Inc., shall have no liability under this warranty for:

1. Any service provided wherein the initial agreed upon amount has not been paid complete and in full.
2. Any damage caused by acts of God, by fire, explosion, or other casualty.
3. Defects or damage caused by the effects of air pollution, mildew, and exposure to harmful chemicals or normal weathering caused by exposure to the elements. American Windows & Doors, Inc. will have sole discretion to determine, based on reasonable criteria, whether the damage or defect is normal weathering, or a result of faulty installation.
4. Damage caused by failure to protect wood surfaces against moisture or insects.
5. Any glass breakage resulting from vandalism, intentional breakage or domestic disputes.
6. Damage to window frames
7. Except as stated in this document, American Windows & Doors makes no other warranties, either express or implied.

What the customer must do

Fill out the information below and mail a photocopy to American Windows & Doors, Inc., 1819 Schurman Way, Suite 102, Woodland, WA 98674. In the event a covered defect is discovered, promptly contact American Windows & Doors Inc., at (360) 225-9997. American Windows & Doors, Inc., will investigate the claim, and if a defect covered by warranty is confirmed, American Windows & Doors, Inc. shall, within a reasonable amount of time, either repair or replace any damage caused by window installation.
